Welcome to Canoe Sports Trust
We are a not for profit organisation based at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, providing a range of paddlesport activities for individuals, schools and organisations.
Experienced and qualified instructors provide instruction and coaching in a variety of paddlesport craft. Our aim is to provide visitors with a learning experience that is safe, exciting and fun.
Activities need to be booked in advance as we can not accommodate casual hire.
Schools
Specific programmes of activity can be provided to meet a schools requirements. Maybe a single activity, a morning or afternoon or an all day visit. All activities are led by qualified Instructors, supported by shore side supervision.
Packages can be adjusted in support of GCSE Physical Education at KS4 or can be multi-activity days for students to let off steam at the close of the academic year. Be sure to book early as July is very popular with daytime school bookings.
Scouts and Guides
Squirells, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Rangers regularly participate with activities adjusted to suit each particular age group.
Leaders may require a fun session or something more specific to tick off elements of the Scout paddlesport staged badges or the Girlguiding water adventure badge. We can also deliver training specific to the needs of the Duke of Edinburgh scheme.
Easter, WHITSUN & Summer Camps
Our all day one day and multi-day Paddlesport Camps give young people an opportunity to participate in a wider range of paddlesport activities including journeying. Drinks and snacks are provided between all sessions with lunch included on camps longer than one day duration.
In 2027 we hope to accept childcare vouchers.
Fun Days
Fun Days run once a week during the school holidays and are an opportunity for youngsters to try a camp for just one day. Most youngsters end up having a great time and then want to return for longer duration camps.
On all camps participants get to try a variety of paddlesport craft.
Birthday Parties
Are you celebrating a birthday and want to come paddling with friends? Providing it is booked in advance (allow four weeks) we can run sessions specific to your requirements with weekend packages starting at £250 for up to 8 people.
Price includes use of our picnic area for one hour after your paddling session for food and birthday cake. (not provided by us).
Self-managed Groups
Group leaders or teachers with the correct qualifications and insurance can lead their own activities. This arrangement suits some clients who are then able to deliver sessions at a lower per head cost.
Corporate Clients
Colleagues from work, mates or a family group, it does not matter who you are as a package can be created to suit your requirements.
Packages start at £25 a head for a two hour visit and recognise that adults come with a variable enthusiasm to participate in something that may involve them getting wet.
