Our first Paddlesport Camp is a fun way to try many different paddlesports with different activities available each day. Our range of activities include:-
- Different types of Kayaks
- Coracles
- Paddleboards
- Dragon Boats
- KataKanus
- Mega Paddleboards
- Rafts
- And a Canoe expedition to Harefield or Croxley along the canal
Most activities are conducted on a spring fed freshwater lake.
Please note that due to the nature of the activity, each participant will need to be water confident and should be able to swim 25 meters if required to do so.
Paddlesport Camps are best suited for children aged 10 to 16 and run 9.30am to 3.30pm each day.
Some youngsters use the camp to try a range of different sports to see what they might try when undertaking the physical section of their Duke of Edinburgh Awards whilst others may use it to get some practice in before a family holiday where they might try similar activities. Some just join in the fun to get out the house and have a fun week on the water, whatever your motivation, you will have a great time on one of our camps.
We supply buoyancy aids, waterproofs and all safety equipment, all you need to do is turn up with towel, swim shorts, wet shoes, a rash vest and a fleece jumper, though full joining instructions will be sent to you soon after the course closing date.
Each youngster will be provided with lunch or may bring their own packed lunch each day, we will supply hot and cold drinks and snacks during break times.
With 32 places on this our only summer 3 day camp, be sure to book your place early to avoid disappointment. This 3 day course runs Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and costs £180. For most activities, participants are divided in to older and younger age groups.
Bookings for this course are now open, and close on 6th July (2 weeks before the course starts), unless all the places are booked first.
