This PSR course is run for us by Thames Paddleboarding.

Safety is an important consideration for anyone involved in a water activity and this course teaches you how to perform many of the rescues that you may be required to do to help out a fellow paddlesport enthusiast. Rescues will be performed on a variety of craft from as variety of craft that includes kayak, open canoe and SUP board.

If one day you end up in the water, you will appreciate the effort put in by other paddlers in your group if they are able to rescue you and get you back in your boat.

This course is required by anyone wishing to run paddlesport activity or become a paddlesports leader or instructor. It is also the minimum qualification required by Scouting to lead watersports in the “Cut” without a need for a permit.
