-->In association with Nomad Kayak Club we are again running our popular REC-1 First aid course, a one day course that teaches you how to administer first aid outdoors away from the comforts of an indoor safe environment, whether that be from a boat or a remote location. This one day entry level outdoor first aid course is ideally suitable for anybody considering outdoor pursuits as a personal hobby and is also fully compliant with the requirements of British Canoeing instructor awards and the Scout and Guide Association, this is the minimium qualification level for CST activity instructors and CST Assistant Instructors.
The course will be run outdoors from a marque with first aid to be performed on casualties outdoors. You will require clothing suitable for the weather conditions on the day, that include waterproof jacket and trousers and a warm hat, though if you are lucky: shorts, T-shirt and sun hat. Full joining instructions will be circulated before the event.
Note the course booking closes on the 10th May, allowing time for processing of course paperwork.
