Our Cub water activities day gives Cubs the chance to experience five water activities to earn their Level 1 Nautical Skills and Paddlesports badges. The event takes place at Bury Lake in Rickmansworth. Cubs will take part in Katacanoeing, kayaking, Rafting, Stand up Paddleboarding and Dragon boating over the six hour visit under the direction of qualified instructors. All equipment is provided. Please note any young person who wishes to attend must do so on the understanding that a cub leader from their pack / group will be in attendance throughout the day, this does not require leaders to get wet, but merely be in attendance as shoreside support. The number of Cubs that a leader might bring along is limited to 16 Cubs as instructors are provided to deliver all on water activities. Participants must be either water confident or be able o swim at least 25 meters.

Water Activity Days are a lot of fun, with each specific day adjusted to suit the age demographic. 

We supply wetsuits, waterproofs and all the safety equipment you need, all you need to do is turn up with your towel, swim shorts, wet shoes, a rash vest, a warm jumper that you can put on at lunchtime if you are feeling cold.

Each young person will be need to bring a packed lunch as we will only supply hot and cold drinks as required. Full joining instructions will accompany a request to complete an online consent and next of kin form before the young person can book. This information request will be part of the booking process. course booking closes two weeks before the course date. 

Our Cub water activities day is £45 to attend and is limited to 64 places, so be sure to book early.
